We are recruiting an Employee HR Specialist for one of our clients in Lisbon, fluent in both Portuguese and English for a temporary contract to cover a maternity leave.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and respected HR advice, handling employee discipline and grievances, as appropriate
- Support local HR teams in managing sensitive employee situations and to review instances of employee misconduct, including investigating and recommending disciplinary action weighing the extent of violation, fairness of action and local employment laws
- Provide feedback and input for improvement of ER & LR programs, processes and policies
- Deliver all employee and labor relations related activities
- Serve as subject matter expert for Labor law, company policy/procedure knowledge to employees, managers and people representatives
- Review and revise policies according to business needs and employment legislation
Qualifications:
- Graduate/Master’s Degree in Labor Law, Human Resources, or similar
-Experience in disciplinary processes (issuance of guilty notes, final reports and application of sanctions)
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience
- Good organizational skills, focusing on quality, processes, and results
- Good negotiating and conflict management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Fluent in English and Portuguese
