We are looking for a German-speaking professional to support AML operations in Lisbon by translating finance reports and acting as liaison between our German and Portuguese teams. Candidates with KYC/AML experience or recent law school graduates are encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities
- Translate financial and compliance documents (German <> Portuguese/English) with accuracy and attention to regulatory terminology.
- Support KYC/AML processes: review client documentation, assist in risk assessments and file updates.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the German and Portuguese teams to ensure clear case handovers and consistent interpretation of requirements.
- Prepare concise summaries and status reports for stakeholders.
- Assist with regulatory research and ensure translations reflect applicable AML/KYC obligations.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and follow internal compliance workflows.
Must-have qualifications
- Fluent German (spoken and written) and strong Portuguese and/or English communication skills.
- Either: practical experience in KYC/AML roles OR a recent law degree with demonstrable interest in financial crime/compliance.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work with technical/financial terminology, and good organizational skills.
