We are looking for an:

IT Technician - Help Desk (m/f), to work in the local Headquarter based in Lisbon.


About you:

In this role, you will get to make a positive difference to people’s lives by sharing your knowledge, becoming our subject matter expert and supporting your organization team in successfully implementing a professional business model. You will be responsible for providing fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems and equipment. You will answer questions about technical issues and offer advice and solutions to resolve them.


Your Role:

As IT Technician - Help Desk, reporting directly to the Innovation Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Management and support of Gi Group Holding Portugal Network infrastructure, including:

- managing system performance to enable the stable operation and network connectivity;

- Working with internal technical teams on international level to maintain and improve networking and infrastructure services;

- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve network connectivity incidents using available tools and working closely with 3rd party network managed services providers and telephone carriers;

- Manage updates to networking services;

- Support and monitor the Microsoft Active Directory network;

- Create, configure, and maintain all network printers;

  • Perform daily monitoring and 1st level administration of a local LAN;
  • Management of the internal applications, including:

- Change management;

- Managing external suppliers;

- Monitor and manage hardware resources;

- Liaise with business stakeholders on system requirements.

  • Supporting users with the group’s global applications and solutions;
  • Contribute towards ad-hoc projects working with both local and global colleagues;
  • Liaising with global technical teams.


What you will need:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT with a technical background (Preferential);
  • Have a good understanding of development & application change management;
  • Be highly self-motivated & organised;
  • Be able to demonstrate a thorough and logical approach to problem solving with excellent written & spoken communication skills whilst working to varied, and sometimes, tight timescales;
  • Be an enthusiastic individual with the ability to communicate with all levels of users across the business;
  • Be willing to travel to the group’s various work locations country level, when required;
  • Be fluent in English language (both speaking and writing).
